This winter we will begin our Soup and Discussion meetings on January 15th. During the months of January and February we offer these sessions for a more informal warm exchange of ideas on interesting topics, and make available soup and bread. We suggest a donation of $5 to cover the cost of the soups which are homemade by the Terrace Inn. The topics for discussion this year are:February 5: "The Believing Brain"

We will have excerpts from the book "The Believing Brain" as hand-outs at Sunday's meeting. Please come with your ideas in response to the following discussion questions.

Fifth Sunday Potluck was held October 30

We had a 5th Sunday potluck at the home of Rebecca Franckiewicz at 8531 Mentor Road, Wolverine, MI 49799. What a great time we did have. Many gathered in costume, many brought wonderful food, and our hosts provided a great place to share, eat, and enjoy a bonfire. You sure could hear lots of laughter and small collections of individuals sharing.
After we had had a chance to eat our fill, we all gathered around the bonfire. President Mark Kinney, together with board members Marla Houghteling and Thea Murry shared the good news about their visit to the Traverse City UU congregation. As a result of the meeting with them, they have promised to support our application for affiliation with the UUA with a letter of support.
A great time was held in Wolverine. We are looking forward to our next service on November 6 at the Terrace Inn.

Affiliation with UUA
The vote on affiliation with the UUA was held Sunday, September 18th. We VOTED FOR affiliation, with 27 affirmative votes from among our 34 members. HURRAY!!! The board is not gathering the materials necessary to make a formal application on December 15th. For more information about the affiliation process, Read more >>
